A Break In the Chaos!!!

OMG i have not really had a break yet this winter break!!! i've either been working at working, working at home to finish WIPs, or sitting at the doctors' offices!!! but even tho all that chaos and stress is going on i must post about my awesome package a got from Amethyst Aurag!!!


Soo i got some yummy HP candy which is already gone, the blood pops were soo good:) a cool rememberal (thats probably not how its spelled), some pretty stitch markers, and awesome pen that i can wait to use, an amazing set of teas, which i must say my mum already has her eye on them:) a new amigurumi book which has such cute creatures in it that i cant pick which one i wanna do first since i wanna do them all!!!:) very pretty and soft purple and black yarn to go with the Bella's Mitts and Victoria's Cowl (not sure if those are the full titles) which i cant wait to make once i have finished all my xmas WIPs, a very cool purple and yellow bag that will be great to carry projects around in, and last but not least two little bones for my puppy and a kitty toy as well:)

yayness!!! its december now:) soo that means this semester is almost over and that its almost christmas!!!:D but that also means i have many many papers and test to finishe before i can go on break and that once i'm on break i've got many many fillings to have done to my teeth... darn:( lol i'm very hyper this morning:D

What I'm Thankful For...

so i'm thankful for my family, i see everyday how the family unit is becoming more and more gone and how no one gets along with there parents anymore nor do the parents act like parents anymore, i must say that i have a great relationship with my parents, i can always talk to them about anything and they have found the perfect balance between being my friend and being a true parent... i wish that these kinds of parents werent disapearing.... and although me and my lil bro dont get along most of the time, i'm still happy to have him:)

i'm also very thankful for my friends new and old who are still my friends, my sister (in the sorority sense) ky is always there for me, my new friend stephen has def helped me stay sane this semester, and to all my older friends who still keep in touch and act like friends:)

there is plenty more i'm thankful for but these are the two main ones keeping me sane and on track in my life right now when life isnt

NEW MOON!!!:)

sooo taking a break from quidditch practice, i went to the midnight showing of NEW MOON on thursday!!!:) omg it was uber fun, we showed up at the theater at like 6pm, which was actually pretty good timing cause 30 mins later tons of ppl were showing up to get in line! we got pretty darn good seats and we made a photo story of the whole thing:) one of the let downs was that we thought because we were the 1st showing that we would be in one of the bigger houses in the theater but i guess they mixed us up with a later showing and so sadly we didnt get to see both twilight and new moon like we were supposed to, the ppl at the later showing in the house we were supposed be in... lucky!!! *silently shakes fist* but yeah movie was freaking awesome and i believe that i've def am now on team jacob, this movie really makes you feel for him... basically go watch it everyone!!:D

on a side note... still have not heard from my spoiler, starting to get a little upset cause who knows if i'll even get a package, let alone if it will be anything i like at all since the person never talks to me...

sooo to post on the blog, i have come up with what i am gonna make for my spoilee, and have been stalking for things to get, and she has been letting me know what patterns she really wants... on the other hand i still have not heard from my spoiler and am scared that she isnt participating anymore...

soooo the craft fair when good, didnt sell everything but i did sell most:)

Quidditch Season Is About to Begin!!!:D

yayness!!! i have been selected for the Pride of Portree Quidditch team!!!:) try outs were tough but i'm glad i made it thru and am now on an awesome team!!!:D i cant wait to start practices and play some games!!!:D

sooo i got my kit i think at the end of not this last week but the week before... unfortunately my dorms "new and improved and better" wireless sucks and so i havent been able to do much on the internet... anyways here is my most awesome kit from Phelicia Phoenixfire!!

so i got TWO kits!!! one was the Herbology Kit: Dayflower Lace Scarf and Knit Picks Andean Silk in Imperial and Jade... the second one was the Care of Magical Creatures Kit: Octavias the Magic (loop) Owl, which is her own written pattern and Sugar and Cream Cotton in Warm Brown... she also added another scarf pattern called Easy Drop Stitch Scarf Pattern!:D she also sent size 7 dpns which i'm always using so a second set is awesome!!:) sock looking needle protectors which is another thing i'm always in need of:P a bag full of Zen Green Tea which is one of my favorite teas and then not shown in the picture was a big bag of sour worms that were actually sour!!!:D they were the best!!!:D


then this was made by her as a sort of Transformation Kit, she said she used an old sweater which she then felted... it sooo pretty and has pockets inside and a cute bow with a little kitty in the middle, and tho i'm not much of a purse girl i deff will be using this for my small knitting projects:)

Witch and Wizardly Wisecracks!!

soo this is a back story since i'm updating everything but i got this great Wisecrack (aka RAOK) from Pandora Phelps!!

there was some yummy tic tacs, a very pretty leaf stitch marker, and cool snitch kit with "Hogwarts Pride Knitting Needles" in size .0something (basically toothpick size), a "hank" of gold "yarn" (aka thread), and a pattern for making a snitch all shrunk down in size for cheaper shipping cost

lol so i tried knitting with them and it does actually work but there wasnt enough thread so my pretty hank of thread is no longer pretty cause i dont know how to make it into the hank prettiness:)

Purpose: Technically, the only purpose at Camp is to have fun, make friends and make a cool kit! To that end, these games serve all three of these things. I have to tell you about the 1 time I had in Diagon Alley last weekend!

My friend Rowena Bladvak and I decided that we really needed some new stich markers and had to get over to Diagon Alley immediately. Rowena Bladvak put on their belt because it was blue and did not want to get a cold. I grabbed my keys and we headed to the trains.

While waiting for our train to Diagon Alley, we chatted with Pren the Wierd and Lydia Figg who were planning to visit Gringott’s. Lydia Figg did not want to go alone because he/she was collecting a pan and that was very tall and brought Pren the Wierd along for their excellence in protecting spells.

The train arrived and off we went. Our seats were very comfortable and the train sped along towards Diagon Alley and we were there in a flash! Before heading to the Yrsa’s Yarn Shoppe, we went into a car that sells the ugly turkey(s)!!! As we neared the car, we noticed quite a lot of commotion! The car owner had set the turkey-making machine and it had gotten stuck! turkey (s) were fattening everywhere! I ducked as a cream-filled turkey came fattening right at me and it unsweetened into Professor Solem ’s underwear just as they walked through the door! A cherry turkey did a nose dive and splattered all over the wall most elaborately! We made it out of the store just as a turkey frog and a kettle of Bertie Bott’s every flavor beans collided in a rainstorm of goo!

Since we were still red, we walked the 4 blocks over to Florean Fortescue’s Ice Cream Parlor! I decided on a cone with spicy ice cream and Rowena Bladvak got the hot fudge sundae with extra fudge(s)! Yummy! Professor Solem had made their way over here as well after the incident at the turkey shoppe and had chosen a Baybreeze float.

After that, we passed Gringott’s and headed to Yrsa’s Yarn Shoppe! I tried not to look at the beautiful skeins of silk and bamboo and wool and instead, headed toward the stich markers while Rowena Bladvak stopped to run the stitch markers. I found a square stich markers made out of steel and made my purchase. Rowena Bladvak kept hedging between the stich markers she came for and a pattern for a amigurumi. She chose the amigurumi pattern and we walked the back towards the train station just in time to make the 12:30 train.

After sitting down, we noticed Pren the Weird and Lydia Figg were on the train as well. Lydia Figg looked quite bubbly to have the pan with them. Pren the Weird however did not look bubblied at all. While waiting to go into the vault, a baby goblin waiting in line with his Mommy, had tested on Pren the Weird getting Kool-aid all over their clean robes! The smell really was just horrendous! Apparently, Pren the Weird ’s protecting spells don’t work well against Kool-aid!! We made our way to a less smelly compartment and talked about how we were going explain missing Professor Flitwick ’s lecture on the valuable ways hippogriff (s) are working with the Department of Mysteries in solving unsolvable cat(s)!

sooo sadly i didnt get to participate in the last Quidditch Match yesterday:( but apparently it was quite the match and that everyone liked how this one was played sooo i'm way sad i missed it:( also unfortunately we didnt win tho it sounds like we just didnt post on the correct blog post so maybe we could have won if we had put it in the right place.. hmm:) lol but yeah ravenclaws won but from the sound of it the game was so awesomely made and played that there was no reason to get mad at the Claws!! soo yay to Ravenclaw for winning!!! and even more yayness to the Griffs sooo playing an awesome game!!!:D

My Totally Awesome Package!!:D

yayness!!! sooo sorry that this has taken sooo long to get put up, my computer and camera have been working together against me lately:) lol... anyways here is my awesome swap package from Rowena Bladvak, she did such an awesome awesome job with getting everything right and what i like:) sorry my camera is pretty old soo the pictures arent all the good lighting and color wise...

sooo here is the bag with everything in it!!!

and here is all the amazing goodies inside of it!!:)

here is the bag, its griff colors obviously, its a nice wide bag soo it'll be awesome to put projects i'm doing in it next to my comfy chair without everything falling out and taking up a lot of room!

so not only did she make me a bag but she also made me TWO pairs of fingerless gloves in griff colors, which i have already used and are very warm

she sent me TWO fingerless mitt patterns, one of the being bella's fingerless mits, which i've been wanting to do!:D as well as another pattern that looks way pretty and it is long mitts which will be nice when i'm home during the winter

as well as the awesome new dpns that i was deff in need of, some needle protectors which are good cause my projects are normally on the floor and i hate when i get a needle in my foot, and then some stitch holders which i'm normally always using

sorry that you cant really see the stitch markers all that well but they are a pretty red with a gold owl hanging from one, now i just need to learn to use them:D

sooo i must say that she picked out some awesome music to put on my "wierd sisters" greates hits cd!:D and she even sent some wool wash stuff so that i could learn to wash my wools correctly so that i dont ruin my new mitts and the mitts now in the works

yayness for goodies!!!:) i LOVE LOVE LOVE Tazo green tea!!!:) and i LOVE skittles and even the coffee chocolates she sent were pretty good... my bf says tho that i dont need these goodies as i'm trying to get healthy and lose some weight but i just told him that because she sent them i just HAD to eat them, lol!!:D

Also that same day i recieved a cool ROAK from another swap that i'm in but i still wanted to show everyone the pretty yarn, its malabrigo yarn thats a pretty green blue mix, i had said that i never seen or used malabrigo before and so i ended up getting this in the mail as an ROAK!!:) i love new yarn!!! now i just need to figure out what to make with it... hmm...

lol okie sooo id soo wanna be one of the weasley twin's gf, the one that ends up living but at this moment my brain isnt remember harry potter facts:) but anyways for an actual character, id guess i'd either like to be hermione cause i would love to be as smart as her:) or ginny cause she just kicks ass:D

St.Patrick's Day Scavenger Hunt

sooo i finished this at 12:19pm MST which means it is 11:19pm PST, sooo yay i got it done before the deadline!!!:D i hope you all like it!!:)

It's time for a photo-scavenger hunt! I know it's just after St. Patrick's Day, but leprechauns are year-round, right? I'd like to invite all 4 Houses to participate in this fun scavenger hunt. Here's your lucky list!

yayness!!:) okie sooo i was way excited for this and after realizing i needed a "marker" in each picture i decided to use one of my new friends, Delta Turtle!!! lol, sooo yes i quick background on DT is that he is one of my many turtles i've been making for my sisters in Delta Psi Rho!! anyways sooo basically here is what me and DT came up with:


CLOAK
ok soo a cloak was kinda hard cause i couldnt decide if it was only something that had a hood or if it was anything you used as a way large coat, after DT looked up Cloak on wikipedia, we decided that it was anything soo we went the Roman ruite and here is us with my Roman Soldier-ish Cloak:
Cup (as in Helga Hufflepuff's cup)
unfortunatly me and DT couldnt find anything really all that pretty to be Helga's Cup but we decided that this wine glass was pretty close, DT wanted to pose in the Cup but he was to fat!:D

Devil's Snare
We found some Devil's Snare on campus (yes that is a real, live, growing plant in the pic), ofcourse DT "somehow" got stuck in it, luckily a fellow hogwarts student walked by and got him out

Diadem
soo after again not really knowing what this word was DT looked it up, he learned that it is a Greek word for the type of headband that the Greek monarchs, DT decided that he wanted to be a noble and sooo made his own Diadem, doesnt he look cute!!:D

LOL!! so my bf poured DT a Pint of Brew, this is DT trying to figure out how he was gonna be able to drink it:D

my bf's dog scratched me the other day and unfortunatly its left quite the Scar, DT is said that it happend

while DT was on wikipedia he learned that a Shamrock was only a 3 leaf clover, that 4 leaf clovers are just a good luck symbol. he is holding the Shamrock that his Leprechaun buddy left him

Snake

LOL, here on campus we have this little area infront of the student service building that has a bunch of these funny Statues doing "human" poses, we thought this was the best idea for a picture

We watched "The Lion King" yesterday and DT thought he looked very kingly on this Stone over looking "his kingdom"

Sword
DT loves the book "The Tale of Desperaux" and so has been running around with a pin as his Sword, i finally had to give him a plastic pin cause i kept stepping on the metal one, but to make it up to him i made him a cute outfit to go with his Sword

Tombstone
Tombstone pizza is mine and DT's favorite pizza and luckily loving bf bought some on his shopping trip to the store:D
Wand
tho i left my actually Wand at home (mum is air mailling that this weekend), this two needles are the only Wands i really need to work magic with yarn!!:D
